Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor. Featuring a fast-paced, wildly funny and touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a truly fresh and vibrant score by William Finn, this bee is one unforgettable experience. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.

James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece... and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.
The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

Joe's Café is a lip-synching performance where each theatre class learns a dance and performs in front of their peers. This is a tradition here at KLMS.
All performances will be on the morning of December 21st. If your student is a 7th or 8th grader, they will perform twice, once for the 7th grade class and once for the 8th grade. If your student is a 6th grader, they will perform once, for the 6th grade class. The schedule is as follows:

7th Grade Performance: 9:25 AM
6th Grade Performance: 10:30 AM
Please plan to arrive early to account for parking and check-in at the front office.
You must bring your ID (Driver's License or state ID) and be prepared to show your purchased ticket.

And aong the way, he falls in love with Ariel, the rebellious daughter of the reverend. Footloose is a celebration of self-expression and the power of youth.

Howie, Louise, Gary, and Phoebe are in charge of “Zombie Night,” the annual senior class party. They locate an abandoned farmhouse by an old graveyard. Actually, the house was once occupied by the creepy, crawly Dr. Thanatos, who tried to re-animate the dead. Vivian and Anne show up, determined to destroy the party. A grim farmer enters who warns the kids that it’s dangerous to stay. We soon discover why — zombies! While the decorations go up, the zombies shuffle from the graveyard. It’s zombies versus students!

Based on Kate DiCamillo’s beautiful novel of the same name, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane follows a beloved toy rabbit on his journey throughout the world as he learns the true meaning of love. Edward meets many different people in many different situations: an older grieving couple who find comfort in Edward’s presence, a hobo and his dog who introduce Edward to a whole community of homeless wanderers, a farmer in need of a scarecrow, a sad little boy and his very ill sister, and finally a doll mender and an old doll who teach Edward an invaluable lesson. Through this miraculous journey, Edward learns what it is to love, what it is to lose that love, and how to find the courage to love again.
