5K AND 1-MILE FUN RUN - Onion Festival 2025

Saturday April 26 2025

FUN RUN 7:45 a.m. check-in Kids Run at 8:30 a.m. (Under 12 Years old ONLY) 5K Run 7:45 a.m. check-in 5K run at 9 a.m. Each participant will receive an official Onion Festival T-shirt. Results will be calculated and presented as soon as possible following the conclusion of the race. Trophies will be awarded to winners, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to second- and third-place finishers in each age group, male and female.

Jordan Mantooth Memorial 3v3 Basketball

Jordan passed away on June 27, 2003, after being struck by a drunk driver in Princeton during the middle of the day. He was 17 years old and about to enter his senior year of high school. He was the starting point guard of the Princeton High School basketball team, a great son, the best brother that his sisters could ask for, a good friend, a goofball, a Christian and so much more. Even though God had plans for him to come home way earlier than expected, he left lasting memories with many.

Dear Parents/Guardians/Grown-Ups, We will be visiting the Heard Natural Science Museum in McKinney on Friday, November 1, 2024, as our third grade field trip. The cost for each student is $5.00. We will have a picnic lunch at the museum, so each student will need to bring a sack lunch. Be sure to pack the lunch in an item that can be thrown away. About the Program The Angel Tree Program was created by the transportation department as the "Fill the Bus" initiative. It has since been adopted by the Princeton Lions Club as their local service project which has evolved into a massive communitywide effort to provide Christmas to those in need. The program begins with the district wide food drive to provide a Christmas meal for each family supported by the Angel Tree Program. These families also receive gifts for children who attend Princeton ISD or younger for Christmas. Angels consist of Princeton ISD students and their under school-aged siblings who qualify for free or reduced-price meals. Each family supplies a wish list for each of their Angels on the tree. Angel Tree Application The Angel Tree program is for qualifying Princeton ISD students and their under school-aged siblings. The Angel Tree application will be open Oct. 14, 2024 at 8 am through Nov. 20, 2024 at 4 pm.

The Onion Festival is a fundraiser organized by the Princeton Lions Club and Princeton ISD. Proceeds from the event are used to purchase eye glasses for children, support the Angel Tree Program during the holidays and provide academic scholarships for seniors. Event sponsors will have their name printed on tee shirts, which will be sold and given to various event participants to commemorate the event.
