The premier early music ensemble, Bruton Baroque, launches its 2024-2025 season this fall. Members are Ryan Lowe, Sophie Genevieve Lowe, and Rebecca Davy, Bruton Music Director & Organist. This first season will be “The Grand Tour” of music from Italy, Germany, Great Britain, and France. Bruton Baroque invites you to experience the joy of performances on period instruments. Held in historic Bruton Parish Church, the concerts will evoke how the music might have been performed in colonial days or before!Season tickets holders will be given seats in the front, center boxes.
Bruton Baroque is independent of Bruton Parish Church. Ticket proceeds will be used to fund future concerts and are not donations to the church.
Italy will feature music ranging from Gabrieli to Monteverdi.
Germany will feature Bach’s Oboe and Violin Concerto in C minor and his “Wedding” Cantata 202.
Britain will include Purcell’s Incidental Music from “King Arthur” and Boyce’s Symphony No. 1.
