Rhoads Schoolhouse Living History Day #1

Location
Rhoads Schoolhouse
9951 Elk Grove Florin Rd, Elk Grove CA 95624
About
The Rhoads Schoolhouse, located in Elk Grove Park, is a living history visit for children in the Sacramento area. Besides the full-day experience of what a day in a one-room schoolhouse would be like, the experience includes a pre-visit by the docent in order to learn more about the history of the Rhoads Schoolhouse itself and prepare the class (students and adults) for immersion into the 1890’s.
Our living history day will include school lessons, recess, lunch break, and a spelling bee!
There will be a required virtual pre-visit on March 13th for all participants.
Parent participation is required during recess and lunch. All materials will be provided but parents will need to help run the recess activities.
All participants will need to wear appropriate time-period clothing (girls should wear skirts and bonnets and boys should wear shirts and pants - no jeans) as well as bring a lunch in appropriate containers (no plastic).
