This event is designed to help testing-age students (grades 3-8 and 11th+12th) prepare for the upcoming California State Tests (CAASPP). We will have a combination of rock climbing fun and computer test prep games to engage, teach, and encourage students to ROCK THE TEST!
Parents will be asked to participate in the test prep learning portion of the event so they can better support their children at home in preparation for the state tests.

This event is the second of two sessions on this day. We will have groups of students rotate through a testing room to practice test-taking skills and do some other activities to familiarize themselves with the state testing site. This is such great practice for students and it helps lower overall anxiety around the test itself. One-third of the time will be spent working on test skills and the other two-thirds of the time will be spent learning to rock climb! All gear will be provided and climbing shoes will not be required.

Test-Prep Parties are meant for testing-age students (grades 3-8, 11th+12th). No siblings are allowed to participate and you are encouraged to find alternate care for any younger siblings to allow for you to fully focus on assisting your testing-age students during the test prep portion.

What to wear: Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes (pro tip: vans/converse style/tennis shoes work the best!) Rental shoes are available for an extra cost out of pocket if needed. Helmets are recommended but not required. If you want your student to wear a helmet, you must bring one. They do not offer rental helmets. Bike or ski helmets work well!
